Amazing bank holiday stay here, camping with our family….we all loved it having arrived from the busy city. In the... ‘quiet’ field at night with just the sounds of some distant cows and the crackling of fire pits, under the clear sky star gazing- cannot get better than this! Facilities were so clean, couldn’t fault them. The walk down to the beach was fab, along the Estuary, taking us about an hour as stated on the website. We also just enjoyed the space around the campsite for the kids to run around and fly kites. Very helpful owners too.read more

Lovely camp site with clean facilities that are having a minimal impact on the environment - yet there was always hot... water for showers! Safe site, as children were able to freely roam, climb trees and swing on rope swings. All who worked there are super friendly, attentive and helpful - highlight feeding baby goats and baby calfs and climbing on tractors and singing round campfires in the evening! Looking forward to going back again next year! Thank you all at Wilton Farm!read more

Nice campsite in beautiful Devon. Facilities are basic but there's plenty of space and owners seem... flexible/accommodating. It's a working farm so there's an opportunity (at a small cost) for the kids to feed some of the animals which is nice. There are some good beaches nearby. However, please note that the roads are very narrow, so leave plenty of time and be prepared to do some reversing!read more

We've spent the most relaxing week at Wilton farm. The owners are the kindest, most caring people we've met in a long... time, nothing is too much trouble. The camp site is basic which is exactly what we wanted, there's a shop for essentials, even steak. There's an endless supply of hot water for showers and washing up, the toilets are cleaned 3 times a day and there's Frank's shack where you can meet up and chat. What more could you want, highly recommended and we will be going back. Thank you all so much for being so awesome xxread more

Perfect stay Came here with my first time camper girlfriend. We both loved it. Awesome view, very kind owners, warm showers for her and fires for me, clean toilets, great walks from the site and great farm shop meats. I’ll be recommending this one for a while.

Spacious and relaxed Lovely campsite with a relaxed vibe. Lots of campsites seem to have a long list of strict rules such as absolute quiet after 9pm and often do not allow groups, so Wilton Farm was a breath of fresh air. Our party was of 9 (all in late 20’s). We played music at a low volume until around 10:30/11 and were able to sit out around the fire and have an enjoyable time without being worried of being told off by nearby campers or the owners. Those that surrounded us were of a similar likeminded nature. The views over Salcombe are lovely and nearby pub was a highlight! Would definitely return.

Ecological and friendly Our stay at Wilton farm was very nice. From the first moment we were received by the owner who take good care of us. We really like the way the campsite is managed, all ecological, a shop that operates with a honesty box in case you forget something and plenty of space to picth your tent or campervan. The only drawback will be the road giving access to it which is quite step and narrow!

Absoutly stunning Wilton farm camping was amazing the views are stunning. The site itself is huge and its fantastic that you can decide where to pitch up. The facilities are really great, eco loos cleaned every single day as are the showers ( its lovely to have a shower camping. There were a good among of campers but i never waited for the showers and only once for the loo as i was to lazy to walk to another The on site shop is a wonderful addition as you can get your milk on site. Just generally a fabulous time nice and peaceful and the farmer was wonderfully friendly. We were there for the jubilee and they had BBQ's and a beacon lighting which was amazing.Kid and more importantly for us dog friendly (we have 7) they loved the camp site. they have ample recycling and rubbish bins.we are already planning our return for the end of July.

Friendly beautifully located simple camping site This is a great campsite and I would definitely recommend it. It's in a beautiful location. There are two large camping fields. Both have good views of the countryside side, but the lower field (through the first field) has a stunning view of a seaside village. It was quiet when we went and there was plenty of room. The facilities are basic and good. In our field there was a shack with two large sinks with hot water and drinking water, a hut with two showers with warm water, a compostiable loo and urinal area. They're kept well and don't smell. The farm shop is always open, and has great bits and pieces. It works on an honesty box system. You can rent/bring your own camp fires. The farm shop has everything you need for this. The farm is set in a great location. There are stunning walks you can start from the campsite but you can also drive a short way to other brilliant walks and beaches. If you do the local walk to Salcombe, just make sure you ask when high tide is, as one road gets submerged in seawater. The family and everyone working on the farm (Paul, Chris, Ron...) are really friendly, helpful and have created a lovely atmosphere. Thanks for all your advice and making us feel so welcome.

Fantastic campsite, ideally located We had our first family camping trip to Wilton Farm with our two year old over the late August bank holiday. As our stay was during the school holidays, we were expecting it to be busy. Although there were a lot of campers, the campsite didn’t feel crowded at all.We stayed in the family field, which has an earlier curfew than the other fields, ideal if you have little ones who go to sleep early. At night the campsites toilets and washroom are lit by solar lights giving it a magical feeling. The composting toilets are clean and don’t smell at all. Disinfectant spray was provided, which was a nice touch. There were showers in every field with plenty of hot water to wash away all the salt and sand after a day on the beach. There are lots for the kids to do to, with animals to feed, the owner's vintage tractor collection to admire, and a play barn for those rainy days when you don’t want the kids stuck in the tent all day. There is a well-stocked on-site shop with everything you could need. We bought bacon and milk for breakfast every day. It’s not staffed; you choose your items and leave your money in the tin, so make sure you bring your change! The campsite is ideally located between Kingsbridge and East Portalmouth, just outside the beautiful village of South Pool with its ford across the creek. It has all tourist locations, such as Salcombe, on its doorstep but is far enough away not to be crowded. We had a fantastic time and plan to come again next year.

Great farm campsite Spacious fields, great views, good toilets and showers and a farm shop if you need it. Beaches and the coast path within easy reach. I did walk to the beach which was about 2.5 miles distant. I sat and watched the sunset each night over Salcombe. Nearby is the pretty village of South Pool which has a pub.

Amazing ! (in a good way) Sadly only stayed at Wilton farm for 2 nights in September on a quick break. Farm camping at its best. Stunning location within reach of loads of beautiful coast and countryside. Well stocked 'honesty box' farm shop is a nice touch, Depending on where you pitch you can enjoy the sparkling lights of the millionaires playground of Salcombe at night for a fraction of the price. Typically ingenious farmer style plumbing and loos make you wonder why the rest of us bother with carpets and other unnecessary decorations. Cunning farmer even managed to make the compost loos look romantic at night with the addition of warm solar lights ! God bless them, they deserve our support. Will definitely be going back.
